lights change
making a multicolored dance
rainbow of joy
stars everywhere
sky and tree and eyes
shining bright
white surrounds
but broken by a red stripe
and a bird chirps
alone, I
hear the children shout
but silent and calm inside
multicolored lights
multicolored gifts

making a multicolored dance
rainbow of joy
stars shine
flakes camouflaged on black
black night, white sky
stars everywhere
sky and tree and eyes
shining bright
the dancing crystals
dance around the dancing children
joyous footprints behind
white surrounds
but broken by a red stripe
and a bird chirps
a hot cup
sitting warm and cold in while
a cold breeze
alone, I
hear the children shout
but silent and calm inside
walking cold
braving winter's storm
alone but warm
multicolored lights
multicolored gifts

This is a poem I wrote in the past. They are only a handful of the many I am putting on dA today [6/26/13], after sorting through a bunch of papers I had and finding a bunch of poems I've written. I typed the poems almost exactly as they were written, because I'm sure how I wrote them was significant and I don't want to change it.
This looks like one long poem, but it is actually a set of several haikus. These were written after Bitch Sandy, when I had transferred to another school while my house was being fixed. In that school, the principal has the students in the Honors English classes write several haikus about winter or the holidays. The students then choose which one they feel is their best, and the teacher sends their haikus to the principal. The top three are featured in the holiday cards he makes and sends out every winter to every family in the school. I was put into Honors English, and had to do this. Mine was chosen as one of the top three. I felt so awesome when I heard that mine had been chosen! However, none of these are it. As I said before, we had to write several. This deviation consists of the rest of the haikus I wrote in my notebook, but didn't choose as the one to send to the principal. The one I chose as my best one, which is the one that was submitted, is here: [link] The last haiku didn't have a third line written for it, and it doesn't feel right to me to make it up.
I never titled them, and didn't feel like making up a title when it doesn't have one.
*These were written in school, for school. They are not written in any particular place or notebook.
